Some NFL coach reportedly compared Teddy Bridgewater to fictional QB Willie Beamen

NFL Draft season might be just as much fun as the actual games themselves. With all the reports about which draft prospect’s is falling and why, it’s almost like a soap opera or election campaign with all the mud that gets slung around.

Take for instance Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. When the college season concluded, Bridgewater was hailed as the best QB in the draft and best signal caller to enter the draft since Andrew Luck. But now months later per Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, he’s being compared by actual NFL coaches to Willie Beamen, a fictional quarterback played by Jamie Foxx in the movie “Any Given Sunday“:

But wait, there’s more:

That might be the best/worst pro comparison ever for a draft prospect. Only thing that would make this even more classic is if the AFC North team that said it was the Cleveland Browns, who were just portrayed in the new movie “Draft Day” starring Kevin Costner. That would be just too perfect.
