billy hamilton fastKnow when you realize that your speed is off the charts? When you can beat out a routine ground ball to first base with no error committed on the play, which is exactly what Cincinnati Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton did Sunday against the Cubs:

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo played the grounder cleanly but Hamilton is so quick down the line that he beat out both Rizzo and pitcher Carlos Villanueva for an infield single. Incredible.

We’ve said it before; if Hamilton can get on base at a respectable rate, he’ll be an absolute terror for Reds’ opponents all season long and a legitimate threat to steal 100 bases this season.
