New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith lives and plays by his own rules. He takes ill-advised shots, tweets what he feels and even clowns around on the court, like he did when he untied Shawn Marion’s shoe over the weekend.
After receiving a warning from the NBA about the shoelace incident, Smith tried to do it again Tuesday night against the Pistons.
Apparently the NBA grew weary of Smith’s antics and have fined him $50,000, according to ESPN NY’s Ian Begley:
Maybe that will teach Smith lesson on ignoring the league’s warnings. But this is JR Smith we’re talking about here, so he’ll probably do it again.
