Kyrie Irving is one hell of a one-on-one basketball player. Irving caught the pass on an isolation play, freed himself up from a solid perimeter defender in Klay Thompson, and cooly sank the three pointer to force overtime Sunday night against Golden State.
Shots like this are why the Cavs selected Irving first overall a few years ago. Irving had been slumping earlier in the season but appears to have shaken free going into 2014 and is making a push for his second All-Star bid by averaging 25.2 points and 6.3 assists so far in December.
