Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love continued his early season assault of the stat sheet Friday against the San Antonio Spurs, pouring in 42 points to go along with 14 rebounds, including nailing eight of nine from long range. Watch:
The T-Wolves fell 117-110, but not before Love increased his season averages to 24.7 points, 13.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Even more impressive, is that Love is shooting .387 from deep. That’s incredible for an interior player.
Love is one of the NBA’s most versatile power forwards, and is redefining the position in a way we’ve yet to see. The only other power forwards that combined three point range with the ability to score inside as well that come to mind are Larry Bird, Rasheed Wallace and Dirk Nowitzki, but none rebounded at the rate that Love can.
