New footage makes Mike Tomlin’s misstep even more intentional

Mike_Tomlin_Tripping_Jacoby_Jones_Ravens_SteelersIf you haven’t seen it yet or been in a cave for the past four days, then you’ve seen images and videos of Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin impeding Baltimore Ravens kick returner Jacoby Jones on a return that was headed for a touchdown. Tomlin insists that it was unintentional, but further evidence from CBS’ KDKA-TV shows a new angle of the play, with Tomlin cleverly positioning himself on the sideline to get in Jones’ way. Watch:

While the move may have been clever and prevented a TD, the Steelers ended up losing on a controversial call at the goal line. The move could also cost Tomlin six figures in fines and possibly a draft pick.

As the old saying goes, cheaters never prosper. But they do make for funny memes.
