TMZ Sports reports that over the past weekend, Davis apparently was upset that a hotel had no vacancies and he took it out on a front desk keyboard, just as you would expect from a big baby:
The Magic lose to the Boston Celtics by two earlier that evening but Davis sat out the game while recovering from a foot injury, so there’s no telling what he was doing at a motel at 4 a.m. in the morning (use your imagination).
Davis has since issued the following apology via his Twitter account:
In regards to the incident that occurred on Friday night, I want to sincerely apologize for my actions. There is no excuse for what I did… … I was obviously wrong and I take full responsibility. I apologize to the Magic, my fans and the city of Orlando.
Maybe Davis needed a hug or even a happy meal, but he’s right; there’s no excuse for him to destroy a motel’s property simply because they don’t have an open room for an NBA player. Do what normal people do, and find another motel to crash in.
Big Baby, indeed.
