It’s near impossible to think about the New Yorks Knicks without super fan Spike Lee coming to mind. So when Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Kevin Love hits this crazy shot late against New York at Madison Square Garden, he took the opportunity to give Spike a little love in return (no pun intended):
Love’s 34-point, 15-rebound night was key in securing the 109-100 win for the Timberwolves, bringing their record to 3-0 on the season. Kevin Love has played like a man on a mission to reclaim his spot amongst the league’s elite players, and is averaging 29.7 points and a whopping 14.7 rebounds per game thus far. What’s even scarier, is that Love is one of few players capable of sustaining this type of production throughout an entire season.
If Love can stay healthy and Minnesota can continuing winning, he’s quickly building his case for league MVP honors. Given his health history, that’s a big “if”.
