New Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings takes a lot of flak for how he plays. In Milwaukee he deservedly garnered the reputation for being a shot-happy guard that had a tendency to favor ill-advised jumpers over facilitating.
In his debut with the Pistons on Sunday, Jennings got an assist to Andre Drummond in the middle of the fourth quarter, just in the most unconventional way possible:
Props to Avery Bradley for pulling the chair out from under Jennings. No props at all to Kelly Olynyk for slowly wandering towards Jennings and leaving Drummond open.
I’m not sure if it’s an official stat yet, but Jennings probably now leads the league in “assists while seated” early on in the 2013-14 season.
