Since arriving in the major leagues earlier this year, Yasiel Puig’s name has become one that sparks strong emotions depending who you bring it up around. There are those who think his youthful exuberance and passion are good for the game. Others feel as though, while he has an incredible amount of talent, his attitude could stand to be improved upon.
Even if you’re not a member of the Yasiel Puig Fan Club you would probably have a tough time finding fault with his actions in this picture, courtesy of Yvonne Carrasco of the Dodgers’ public relations department.

Puig finished his rookie season with a .319/.391/.534 batting line to go along with 21 doubles, 19 home runs, 42 RBI, and 11 stolen bases in 104 games. When the 22-year old didn’t have a bat in his hand he was making unbelievable throws from right field, like this one and this one. Puig finished second in the National League’s Rookie of the Year voting behind Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins.
