Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star Kyrie Irving has started the 2013-2014 season off a bit slower than expected after a lot of offseason hype, but he seemed to have found his groove Saturday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Irving went off for 39 points, 12 assists and five rebounds, including the game-winning layup in a 127-125 double-overtime victory over Philly. Watch:
Irving came into the game averaging 16.7 points and shooting just 37% from the field, so he was due for a breakout game sooner or later. More performances like this will help to solidify Irving’s place as one of the brightest young point guards in the NBA.
