Pat Tillman honored in incredible way by Arizona State football team

Tillman AZ StatePat Tillman gave up playing in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals to serve his country in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, turning down a $3.6 million contract to enlist with his brother in the U.S. Army.

As most know, the story ends tragically as Tillman was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004. However, when it comes to the Cardinals or his alma mater, Arizona State, he is far from forgotten.

The Sun Devils football team is honoring Tillman this season in the most fitting and perfect away imaginable, by having Tillman lead them onto the field for every home game:
