The Minnesota Vikings are making a habit of turning in big plays early in the game so far this season. Last week it was All-World running back Adrian Peterson taking it to the house from 78 yards out on his first carry of the season and the team’s first play from scrimmage.
Sunday, it was the 29th overall pick of this year’s NFL Draft pick who put the Vikings on the board. Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson fielded the opening kickoff in the end zone and proceeded to outrun the Bears special teams unit 105 yards the other way.
Looks like this scouting report of Patterson building speed quickly after the catch was right on.
