When you’re as large of a international icon as Kobe Bryant, things like shutting down one of Los Angeles’ premier summer pro leagues can be expected. That’s exactly what happened when Bryant appeared at the Drew League championship game last week with about 10 bodyguards:
The Drew League takes place in Watts, CA and annually features pro players from the NBA and overseas, many that are originally from the L.A. area. Bryant took in the championship game with wife Vanessa, and witnessed Hank’s Blazers player Frank Robinson drain a game-clinching three right in front of him.
Must be quite a feeling to hit a Kobe-esque shot with him sitting just a few feet from you.
