riley cooperPhiladelphia Eagles receiver Riley Cooper has returned from counseling and re-joined the Eagles at practice Tuesday, per the team’s Twitter account:

Cooper was required to seek counseling for his use of a racial slur in a video that went viral last week and shook the Eagles’ training camp. The Eagles are currently having sharing practices with the New England Patriots, so it will be interesting to see how both the Patriots and his Eagles teammates respond to sharing the field the jettisoned receiver.

According to NFL.com’s Albert Breer, Cooper has looked good in his return to the practice field:

Apparently Cooper hasn’t skipped a beat. It is worth noting that Cooper may indeed not be a bad person, he simply made a mistake and put himself in an unfortunate situation by using an offensive and insensitive slur and was caught doing so on video. Many people don’t necessarily hate Riley Cooper, they hate what Riley Cooper said and they hate what the word he said represents.

One other tidbit that’s worth noting; Cooper will be sharing a practice field with former University of Florida teammate Tim Tebow, who is currently fighting for a roster spot with the Patriots.
