Iman Shumpert will be featured on hip-hop album, Michelle Obama’s

Michelle Obama ShumpertThis past season New York Knicks guard/forward Iman Shumpert announced his foray into the world of hip-hop by releasing his debut mixtape, “Th3 #Post90s.” It wasn’t great in the grand scheme, but as far as NBA rappers go it was one of the better ones.

Now it appears that Shumpert is going to be featured on an upcoming hip-hop album from a very prominent figure. However, it’s not exactly a very prominent figure in hip-hop. It is, in fact, the hip-hop album of the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

According to a report from Rolling Out, the First Lady has recorded a 19-track hip-hop album to promote her campaign against childhood obesity, “Let’s Move.” That same article features the track list for the album. Track 12 entitled “Pass the Rock” features Shumpert and Artie Green.

I doubt this is the big break Shumpert was looking for into the music industry, but when the First Lady comes calling, you can’t really say no.

H/T to Reddit.
