Even though it was just a preseason, Sunday evening’s Hall of Fame game between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins marked the official return of America’s favorite game.
The Cowboys sat most of their starters and others played sparingly, but Dallas managed to play well enough to pull out a 24-20 victory behind 170 rushing yards. The Dolphins racked up 421 total yards of their own but were unable to reach the end zone until the second half.
Rookie Joseph Randle and Phillip Tanner led the charge for the Cowboys and combined for 129 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.
