Mississippi State Pink Uniforms

The trend that has caught a lot of traction in college football over the past few years is for programs to release new, eye-catching and crazy uniforms for their teams, a trend undoubtedly spear-headed by the University of Oregon.

Adidas and Mississippi State have taken this to new levels, though, according to a leaked picture from Uniform Critics on Twitter. As you can see in the picture at the top of the page, the uniforms are, in fact, bright pink for breast cancer awareness.

Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin responded to the uniforms being leaked on Twitter, saying, “The pink football jersey … here’s the deal: Adidas is very creative. Many ideas are only concepts, like that one for breast cancer awareness.”

So, there’s apparently no guarantee that the Bulldogs will wear these at any point in time. Though the concept of supporting breast cancer awareness is a noble and worthy cause, those uniforms are just a tad far-fetched, for my liking at least. What are your thoughts?

H/T to Saturday Down South.
