Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III (RGIII) will marry his fiancee Rebecca Liddicoat in July, according to an interview the QB’s mother had with a Fox affiliate in Washington, DC:
Griffin’s mother, Jackie, sat down for an interview with FOX 5. She praised her son in the interview, saying RG3 is “not afraid to show who he is” and that he “loves his fans.”
Jackie said her son and Liddicoat became engaged in Oct. 2011 after he proposed to her on the field following a practice with his family watching.
Griffin and Liddicoat have been together since his playing days at Baylor, and both attended the University. Se could be seen in the stands of his games both in college and so far the pros. Griffin was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year after a spectacular season where he competed 65.6% of his passes for 3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns and only five interceptions and a QB rating of 102.4 while also accounting for 815 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
The couple is registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond if you want to send them a wedding gift. Congrats to RGIII and Liddicoat. We wish them a happy future together.
