All-NBA teams announced

kobe bryant lebron jamesThursday, the NBA announced the selections of the All-NBA first, second and third teams, which are comprised of the best players at each respective position in the game: two guards, a center, and two forwards per team. Here are the honorees, via the NBA’s official Twitter account:

James — who won his fourth MVP this season — was named to the first team for the sixth time in his career after averaging 26.8 points, eight rebounds and 7.3 assists with the Miami Heat. Kobe Bryant was named to the first team for the 11th time after pacing the Lakers with averages of 27.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and six assists in his 18th NBA season.

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol got the first All-NBA selection of his career and was also named the Defensive Player of the Year for the 2012-2013 season. Other first time honorees were James Harden, Paul George from the Pacers and Warriors power forward David Lee.
