One of the lesser known traditions of The Masters and Augusta National is the Champions Dinner that takes place a couple of nights before the tournament begins. All past champions gather to socialize together for a meal chosen by the previous year’s champion.
That means that Bubba Watson was in charge of the menu this year. What did he choose to eat? Sir Nick Faldo let the fans know on Twitter:

If you had to pick one guy on the PGA Tour to have a meal that sounds like what you’d have at a southern family barbecue, it has to be Watson, right?
Watson later tweeted out a picture of the menu, signed by many of the past champions that were in attendance:
Despite Watson’s humorous choice of menu, I definitely wish I could’ve at least been a spectator for that event; it sounds pretty amazing.
Roger Ketchart put together a fantastic infographic on the Champions Dinners over the years, dating back to 1992. It includes the champions and their menus dating back to Fred Couples in 1992:
Tiger’s menu choice after his first Master’s title in 1997 is also hilarious, but Bubba’s still seems the most comical and fitting to the type of golfer and sort of personality that he is.
We will see this weekend if Watson can duplicate the magical show that he put on last year at Augusta.
H/T to Devil Ball Golf.
