The Bills signed Fitzpatrick to a six-year, $59 million contract in 2011, with only $15 million of that contract being guaranteed. Fitzpatrick was due a $3 mil roster bonus on March 13 so the timing of his release comes as no surprise.
In four seasons with the Bills Fitzpatrick completed completed 1041 of 1742 passes for 11,654 yards with 80 touchdowns 64 interceptions for a quarterback rating of just 79.8.
