The Los Angeles Lakers took another hit to their chances of turning around their season. After going down with a foot injury late in the game against the Brooklyn Nets, an MRI revealed a partial tear that will have F/C Pau Gasol out for potentially up to eight weeks:
Pau Gasol has a partial tear of his plantar fascia and is expected to be out at least six weeks, league source tells @cbssports.

The Lakers were already dealing with a shoulder injury that has caused center Dwight Howard to miss the last three games. Gasol had been playing better as of late despite clashing with head coach Mike D’Antoni’s offensive philosophy. Gasol was moved to a reserve role before recently starting at center in Howard’s absence.
Gasol is averaging 13.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season for the Lakers, statistically one of the worst seasons of his 11-year career.
