For much of his career, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has taken on the persona of his coach, Bill Belichick, when there is a microphone in his face.
Brady almost always appears calm, matter-of-fact and like everything is all-business when he is being interviewed.
However, in a recent interview with the WEEI, Brady loosened up a little when asked about who would win in a race between Peyton Manning and himself.
The interview from Jeff Howe and Karen Guregian that was reported with the Boston Herald had Brady’s response, saying, “‘I would take my chances on beating Peyton. It would be an hour-long special if we ran the 40-yard dash.’”
That’s not firing shots or anything at Manning, but more of Brady jesting a little bit with his rival and friend.
I don’t know if it made Peyton laugh or not, but I chuckled for sure.
UPDATE: This article has been corrected for accuracy. Previously, the interview was said to be with the Boston Herald. The interview credit was with the Herald. The information is now correct.
