Last week the starters for next month’s NBA All-Star Game were announced. Tonight we found out who would be the reserves for the East and West squads. Among those heading to Houston for the February 17 game will be Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah, who will be making his first All-Star Game appearance.
Through 40 games this season Noah is averaging 12.2 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, 1.3 steals and 4 assists per game.
Shortly after the reserves were revealed the Bulls big man took to his Twitter account to acknowledge those who have played a part in his success.
I can’t believe it… This has been a long journey. I want to thank all my teammates and my mother for dealing with all my shitiness.

This is just a few of them.
After All-Star teams are announced come the debates of who should and shouldn’t be there, but this season there’s little doubt Joakim Noah has been among the best players in not only the Eastern Conference but the NBA. His selection is justified and because of it we’re able to see a different side of one of the league’s more intense players.
