The Lingerie Football League has been quite the success since it’s creation in 2009. Not only has the league of women playing football in next to nothing grown to 12 teams in America, the LFL has also expanded into Canada, with four teams playing their inaugural season in 2012.
“Our Canadian league has take a very similar road that we took in the States when we debuted in 2009. Now we are the fastest growing sports league in the US and our expectations in Canada are even higher than the States”, said, Mitchell Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Lingerie Football League, LLC.
Lingerie Football League Canada had their first Lingerie Bowl championship game Saturday November 17, 2o12, with the BC Angels defeating the Saskatoon Sirens behind an MVP-winning performances from Angels’ quarterback Mary Anne Hanson and wide receiver Aleesa Garcia.

The LFL also expects to be expanding to two more Canadian franchises in 2013 after exceeding attendance expectations and securing television contracts for next season.
Like it or not, the LFL doesn’t appear to be going anywhere any time soon, which it great for the ladies that participate and the fans that support it.
