Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has been among the best in college football at his position so far this season and is a huge reason why the Buckeyes are currently #7 in the AP Poll. As effective as the sophomore has been throwing the ball (60% comp, 1,271 yds, 11 TD) he has been equally impressive carrying it. Miller entered play today leading the team in yards on the ground (912) and rushing touchdowns (9).
In the third quarter of today’s game against Purdue Miller added to his rushing yardage total, but was slow to get up after hitting the ground hard.
According to team spokesman Jerry Emig, Miller has been taken to the hospital for evaluation. The severity of any injuries are not yet known at this time.
Ohio State defeated Purdue 29-22 in overtime to remain undefeated but the main concern around Columbus is the health of Braxton Miller, which we will learn more about in the coming days.
