Forward Danny Granger, the Indiana Pacers leading scorer each of the last five seasons, will be out indefinitely with soreness in his left knee, per a report from the Pacers official Twitter account:

Granger injured the knee in last season’s playoff series against the Heat but elected to rest the knee instead of undergo any surgery. With Granger out, the Pacer will rely heavily on third year pro Paul George and free agent acquisition Gerald Green to pick up the scoring slack in his absence.

Granger averaged 18.7 ppg and 5.0 rpg last season while shooting .381 from three-point range. Granger also led the Pacers with 17.0 ppg during the playoffs despite struggling to find his range, shooting only .397 from the field. Including this season, Granger is due to make $27 million before becoming eligible for free agency in 2014.
