The Robert Griffin III era is officially underway as the Redskins are in New Orleans to do battle with the defending NFC South champion Saints. Granted it’s early (very early) but RGIII is making the Redskins look smart for giving up everything but the potted plants in the offices at FedEx Field to be able to select him in this year’s draft. At halftime the second overall selection has completed 11 of 13 passes for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. Griffin also leads the team in rushing with 30 yards.
RGIII’s first touchdown is one he and Redskins fans won’t soon forget.
Grant Paulsen from 106.7 The Fan in DC adds this…
Robert Griffin III’s 88 yard TD pass to Pierre Garcon was the team’s longest TD pass in 571 games.
