Ever since Dwight Howard was finally dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers, the talk regarding him has shifted to when he will see the court coming off of back surgery in April.
Well, the Lakers released brief footage of Howard going through a light workout with assistant coach Darvin Ham Wednesday afternoon via their Twitter feed:
While the contact is light and Howard is wearing padding to protect his back, it’s encouraging for lakers fans to see Howard performing basketball activities of any kind.
The Lakers open training camp October 1st and will have their first preseason game October 7th vs. the Warriors. Howard is unlikely to play in many preseason games but by the looks of the footage his availability for opening night Oct. 30 appear to be more of a possibility than a long shot.
