Remember last year when the ‘Tebowing‘ craze was sweeping the nation? Well after a stellar first game performance (19-26, 320 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 40-32 victory at the Saints), Robert Griffin III is quickly becoming the new darling of NFL fans.
RGIII’s popularity is growing so rapidly that fans have are starting a new trend known as “Griffining”, mimmicking Griffin’s motion after completing an 88-yard completion to Pierre Garcon for his career touchdown pass. Here are some pics courtesy of USA Today:
And so it begins. If Griffin can continue the excellent play that he displayed Sunday in New Orleans, there’s no way to think this new craze won’t catch on and go viral quickly.
