Located not far from the water Long Beach State University is embracing “The Beach” brand. During this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament LBSU received alot of attention, most of it positive, for its uniforms which proudly display “The Beach” on the front.
When the school’s men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams do battle at Walter Pyramid this upcoming season they will do so on this new, recently completed floor.

The locker rooms are also getting an upgrade. Gazettes Sports was able to get a firsthand look and has a few photos.
They aren’t as elaborate as the one the Oregon Ducks football team uses, then again not many are. But LBSU’s new floor looks better than the one in Oregon’s Matthew Knight Arena so I guess they’re even.
