The LSU football team held try-outs this week. Among those attempting to make the team was Mo Isom, Homecoming queen and LSU soccer goalie. Les Miles saw her tryout for placekicker and simply said “She made a couple and missed a couple.”
Isom’s dream of becoming the first female LSU football player may have been cut short according to her twitter account. She posted this tweet on her page Friday afternoon: “I am heartbroken, but my head is held high. Knowing I gave everything I had is the greatest victory. Unending thanks to my LSU football fam.” She goes on to thank kickers and special teams players for their help on her journey.
She may not have made the football team, but she is a talented soccer player. Below is the video of her 90 yard score that caught so much attention.
