Allen met with the Heat over the past couple days before making his decision. Even at 37 Allen is one of the best three-point shooters in the league and is the NBA’s all-time leader in three point baskets made. Allen struggled through ankle injuries last season but still managed to average 14.2 ppg while shooting .453 from three-point range.
Adding Allen gives the Heat a shooter to replace Mike Miller, who could be leaning towards retirement after helping the Heat win their second NBA championship. For his career, Allen has averaged 20 ppg, 42 rpg and 3.6 ppg in 16 seasons with the Bucks, Sonics and Celtics.

Im happy for Allen, and I think with him and Lewis Miami will be very unstoppable. Miami will have multiple outlets to score the ball. I think this will be great for Miami. I can see them winning multiple championships if everyone plays well and stays healthy.
