Minor league baseball teams rarely disappoint when coming up with creative promotions and this year is no different. Last month the Stockton Ports, an affiliate of the Oakland A’s, gave away a seat cushion with Barack Obama and Mitt Romney‘s faces on it and asked fans to choose their allegiance. Shortly after Jamie Moyer became the oldest pitcher in MLB history to win a game Minnesota Twins single-A affiliate the Fort Myers Miracle offered free tickets to a future game to anyone able to throw a baseball faster than 78 mph.

With the much anticipated movie The Dark Knight Rises set to hit theaters later this month the Fresno Grizzlies, triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have decided to go with a super hero theme for tonight’s game against the Sacramento River Cats. The Grizzlies will take the field in this jersey and all black version of their normal cap.

A limited amount of similar shirts will be available for purchase and some were included as part of a special ticket deal. The jerseys worn by players will be auctioned after the game with proceeds going to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The Fresno Grizzlies wont be the only ones at Chukchansi Park tonight looking the part of a super hero. Anyone who goes dressed as a super hero gets in free.
