The Los Angeles Lakers continue to add pieces to strengthen their team for next season and have signed veteran forward Antawn Jamison to a one-year contract for the veteran’s minimum of $1,3 million, per Y! Sports Marc Spears.

Even at 36, Jamison is still a capable scorer both on the perimeter and in the post, averaging 17.2 ppg and 6.3 rpg in 65 starts last season for the Cavaliers. Jamison is capable of either starting at the small forward position for the Lakers or in a reserve role to give the Lakers scoring punch off the bench. Jamison joins a re-tooled veteran Lakers roster that now includes new addition Steve Nash to go along with all-stars Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum, as well as PF/C Pau Gasol.

For his career, Jamison has averaged 19.5 ppg and 7.9 rpg while shooting .346 from three-point range in 14 seasons with the Warriors, Mavs, Wizards and Cavs.
