ESPN’s Chris Broussard has reported via Twitter that Deron Williams will be staying in Brooklyn to play for the Nets.
Williams also confirmed the report by Tweeting a picture of the Nets logo.
The Nets boldly traded for Williams at the trade deadline in 2011, acquiring him from the Jazz with no guarantee that he’d resign in Brooklyn. It appears they’ve brought in enough help to appease him after trading for Joe Johnson.
They are also rumored to be pursuing a trade with Orlando to add Dwight Howard as well.
