Bieber fever?
Bryce Harper, the 19-year old phenom outfielder who plays for the Washington Nationals, has already secured a reputation of being an intense competitor. So it had to be a bit alarming when Harper approached the plate Tuesday night with teenage pop sensation Justin Bieber’s single “Boyfriend” as choice for his at-bat music:
Sometimes its easy to forget that the 6’3″, 225 lb Harper is still a teenager himself. Justin Bieber is a superstar and his sophomore album dropped Tuesday so we get it, but I’m sure he could have came up with something a little more intimidating to the opposing pitcher than “Boyfriend”.
Harper finished the game 0-3 with a strike out, by the way.
