The NBA held their combine event June 7-8 in Chicago, with many top prospects participating in front of scouts from every team. Here are the best and worst performers in the athletic testing from the combine, courtesy of DraftExpress.com, with some key notables:
All-American Jared Sullinger measured at 6’9″ (in shoes) and 268 lbs, but only registered a 31″ vertical.
Top prospect Harrison Barnes (6’8″, 228 lbs) had been said to be only an average athlete, but registered a 39.5″ vertical, 15 bench reps and a 3.16 second sprint, which was tops at the combine.
Thomas Robinson measured at 6′ 8.75″, 244 lbs with 5% body fat and registered a 35.5″ vertical, same as Blake Griffin in 2009.
