Fresh off their NBA Championship last week, apparently the Miami Heat are already thinking of ways to reload for next season, specifically LeBron James in this case. James sent out this tweet Thursday evening during the 2012 NBA draft regarding free agent vet Ray Allen:
While watching the Draft my son Bryce ask “Is Ray Allen gonna play for the Heat”. I said “I don’t know, I hope so”.

Allen, 36, is coming off a down season with the Celtics by his standards, missing 24 games due to injuries and averaging 14.2 ppg, his lowest since his rookie year. Still, Allen is a premier shooter capable of contributing key minutes for a playoff team next season. Free agency begins at midnight July 1st, so the recruiting process is already in full swing.
With Mike Miller’s career up in the air, the Heat pursuing Ray Allen makes plenty of sense. Whether or not they can secure his services remains to be seen.
