The Charlotte Bobcats are arguably the biggest struggle franchise in the NBA. The team finished 2011-2012 with the worst winning percentage in NBA history (7-59, .106). During the season, head coach Paul Silas almost got into a fist fight with one of their highest paid players.

To top things off, they lost the Draft lottery to the Hornets despite having the highest chance to win the #1 overall pick in the 2012 draft.

With so much struggle, there really isn’t much to inspire fans to part with large amounts of money purchase season tickets. So to counter the fans reluctance, the Bobcats franchise is offering free 2013-2014 season tickets with the purchase of a 2012-2013 ticket package:

That’s a pretty nice promotion. Hell, I would even buy a package myself if Bobcats tickets had any resale value, which for the moment they don’t. Similar to Facebook stock.

Hopefully their promotion works and Charlotte has some fans in the stands for the next couple seasons. From the looks of their hosted Draft Lottery event, they can use all the help they can get to generate some fan excitement.
