Over the years Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has developed a reputation of a bit of a grouch. A couple months ago rumors circulated that Rondo’s sometimes foul attitude inspired the Celtics to shop him in trade offers (all of which were shot down by Celtics management).
Tuesday after the Celtics 87-86 game 5 loss to the Hawks, Rondo got a little testy at a cameraman that was filming him without Rondo’s approval. Watch:
Rondo had the ball in his hands with a chance to win the game but failed to come through so he might have still been a pissed at that. Nonetheless, the media was authorized to be in the tunnel and has a right to film what’s going on. If Rondo didn’t wish to be filmed, he shouldn’t have been in the camera’s reach.
The incident is irrelevant, yet is still a telling example of Rondo’s abrasive personality. He’s one hell of a player so the Celtics should be pleased to have him, for better or for worse.
