The Miami Heat completed a convincing win over the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Monday night. Miami beat Boston 93-79, after a breakout second half performance in which they led by as many as 13 in the 3rd quarter. Perhaps the most comical part of the game, however, was the taunting of Kevin Garnett by LeBron James.
Garnett was called for a hard personal foul on James, Garnett’s 5th of the game, and James laughed in his face while yelling, “Yeaaahh.”
I tried to stop laughing. I really did. But seeing LeBron taunt the league’s so-called “tough guy” is too entertaining. I think we all know Garnett was not going to do anything but stand there and think really mean things in his head.
This is the LeBron many of us have been asking for. The guy who is aggressive and confident on the court. After a 32 point game on 13-22 shooting (59%) and 13 rebounds, Lebron has all the right to showboat. We’ll see if James’ stellar play and this momentum will carry over into Game 2 Wednesday night.
