The Los Angeles Lakers closed out their first round series against the scrappy Denver Nuggets 96-87 in game 7 Saturday at Staples Center.
Late in the fourth quarter, Kobe Bryant pulled off his usual late game heroics by nailing a big three-pointer over Arron Afflalo to put the Lakers up by 8 with less than a minute in the game, and on his way back on defense Kobe gave entertainer Justin Timberlake some courtside love:
Stars such as Timberlake and fiancee Jessica Biel courtside are common in Staples Center’s ‘Hollywood’ environment, so it’s only fitting for one of the NBA’s biggest superstars to acknowledge their support.
Kobe finished with 17 point and 8 assists. The Lakers travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder Monday evening in the second round.
