H-O-R-S-E anyone?
Over the years we’ve seen Kobe Bryant make difficult shots look routine, like this layup, a running three-pointer, and this shot from behind the backboard. In addition to being highlight worthy most would probably be good enough to win a game of H-O-R-S-E. Beginning next week bidding will open for an opportunity to play against Kobe in the popular shooting game and maybe see shots similar these, or perhaps some other ones he has up his sleeves.
Kobe has made good use of eBay, recently making available to the highest bidder the mask he wore this past season to protect the broken nose he suffered in the All-Star Game. 129 bids were received for the “Mamba Mask” which eventually sold for $67,100. Proceeds from that auction went to the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation’s Youth Homelessness Initiative as well.
Thankfully, since it’s only H-O-R-S-E defense won’t have to be played against Bryant. The presumed #1 pick in June’s NBA draft, Anthony Davis, is apparently ready for that challenge and would probably like to turn it into a game of one-on-one.
Another good thing for the winner and their chosen guest is not only will they have the chance to shoot around with one of the game’s greats and a future Hall of Famer, but they’ll also receive video to share with their friends and family. A good time should be had by all and the money spent to play with Kobe is going to a worthy cause.
