The Los Angeles Clippers hit the jackpot when they were able to swindle negotiate a trade with the Hornets that sent Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and a first rounder to the Hornets for all-star point guard Chris Paul. The trade has paid dividends already for L.A., with the Clippers in the thick of the playoff hunt for the first time since 2006.
Wednesday night Paul’s value was on display again, as he sank this difficult lay up to lift the Clippers to a 100-98 victory over top-seeded Oklahoma City:

Paul finished with a game high 31 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter on 5-6 from the floor. His game winner allowed the Clippers to hold on to a 1/2 game lead over Memphis for the #4 seed in the West and home court advantage in a possible first round meeting with the Grizzlies.
And to think, some people still doubt that CP3 is the best point guard in the league…
