Sean Payton, Mickey Loomis, & in short order, several Saints players will all have felt the wrath of Roger Goodell after the Bounty scandal. It remains to be seen what, if anything, will transpire based on the wire tapping allegations.
Despite the run of bad luck and harsh fines & penalties, Head Coach Sean Payton plans to coach in 2012.
Payton apparently plans to use his free time spending more time with his family, including coaching his 12 year old son Connor’s football team.
Sean Payton has seemed surprisingly unaffected by the year long suspension & loss of some $7M in salary as he’s been sighted on stage at a Jimmy Buffett concert & this week playing in a PGA Tour Pro-Am event in Louisiana. “Free Sean Payton” shirts were spotted at both events.
Payton has also stated that the terms of his suspension allow him to take a TV Role and that he’s currently considering that option.
It’s good to see that he’s enjoying himself amidst one of the biggest NFL scandals ever & after losing $7M. But if there’s a winner in any of this, it’s those 12 year old kids who get to be coached by one of the NFL’s best & brightest coaches for a year. That’s honestly a once in a lifetime experience. Good for those kids.

I’ve got an Xbox game for anyone that takes out the opposing running back
You think he’ll implement a bounty program for the kids???
Man the NFL is really taking a hard look and stance against the Saints. This stuff has been going on for years in the NFl, that is why they call it Home field advantage. Teams aren’t stupids they know others could be listening to what is going in the locker room or they know they are being watched. The NFL is trying to make an example out of the Saints and Gregg Williams and now they are going after the GM. Check out this video with former Super bowl player Anthony Dorsett jr. He talks about Gregg Williams and all this bounty stuff including teams listening in on other teams. Dorsett jr. heard lots of stories from hi hall of fame father Tony Dorsett too about what was going on when he played way back when too…

The ease dropping is just another in a long line of Punk decisions by the Saints.
Payton should be exiled from football for allowiing bounty-gate. He knew it was happening and did nothing to stop it because winning was more important that ending someone’s career or doing permanent damage to someone’s health. Payton is a punk. He once said he could have been a prison guard or warden. He may get his wish.
Exiled from the game is a bit of an overreaction. Honestly, bounties have existed for decades & the majority of the teams implement something akin to this. Doesn’t make it right, but it puts things into perspective a bit & hopefully helps people understand that they are not satan & not different than most teams/coaches.
