Before Michael Jordan became majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats and before winning 6 NBA championships, 5 MVP awards, 10 scoring titles, a Defensive Player of the Year award, 2 Slam Dunk Contest titles, an Olympic gold medal with the “Dream Team” at the 1992 summer Olympics, becoming synonymous with the the Nike brand, and giving minor league baseball a shot he played for legendary head coach Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina. During his three seasons in Chapel Hill Jordan averaged 17.7 points and 5 rebounds per game while shooting 54% from the floor. He capped off a freshman season where he was named ACC Freshman of the Year by hitting the game-winning shot in the 1982 NCAA championship game against Patrick Ewing’s Georgetown Hoyas.
MJ was wearing Converse when he hit that shot.
30 years later Converse and Jordan Brand are celebrating the moment by releasing limited edition Jordan x Converse Collab packs that are now available for auction on eBay.
Each pack includes a Converse Pro Leather Mid, which is accompanied by an original North Carolina jersey, all enclosed in a deluxe hardwood box. Each shoe is hand-signed by Jordan and is laced with details that are unique to that magical night.
The Converse Pro Leather Mid featured in the pack is White with notes of Valor Blue featured on all of the logos. The collar is accented with gold lace tips and the Athletic Navy colored sockliner features the UNC practice logo on the left and the Jumpman logo on the right. The phrase “30 Years of 23” is woven on the outside of the tongue, while the pack number is sewn on the inside. As a tribute, Jordan Brand will deliver seven of the packs to individuals connected with Michael and this iconic basketball moment.
Appearing on the top of the box is a gold colored Jumpman badge that is associated with winning and excellence. The interior of the box is lined with Valor Blue fabric paying homage to the practice shorts Jordan wore under his uniform. Underneath the fabric, a cut-net rope pull-tab leads to a mounted jersey equipped with a Jumpman logo and the pack number. A piece of acrylic featuring the Jumpman, practice short logo and the phrase “30 years of 23” separates the jersey from the shoes.
Many of the listings have over 30 bids since becoming available yesterday, with prices exceeding $2,600. 100% of the proceeds will go to the James R. Jordan Foundation. Here are a few pics of what you will be bidding on, if you choose to do so. The auctions end on April 6th.

certainly like your website but you need to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth on the other hand I’ll definitely come again again.
