Bob Huggins has a history of, let’s say, “interesting” behavior. But there is no denying his talent as a coach. This report from Deadspin is probably not good for old Huggy Bear though.
Many attendees of a Nike coaching clinic at Robert Morris University indicate that Huggins appeared to be drunk. Some go so far as to say he was slurring his speech & dropping “F Bombs” everywhere.
In and of itself, I’m not sure that’s different than his normal behavior, but there seem to be plenty of folks who believe he was “wasted”:
For Huggins, who has had issues in the past with alcohol, this can’t be a good thing.
Maybe nothing will come of it, but at the rate coaches are being fired these days, it’s not ideal.
