Watch out for that bus, Tim...

It was all good a couple months ago…

Before the Broncos successfully landing future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, everyone was in ful support of now Jets QB Tim Tebow. The city of Denver loved Tebow. Teammates praised Tebow’s ability to play through his deficiencies and make winning plays every week.

Apparently, now that Tebow is on another roster some of his former teammates real feelings come out, namely from his favorite Broncos target Demaryius Thomas.

Thomas had this to say to Atlanta radio station 790 The Zone Thursday regarding Timothy being traded:

“It’s a business decision. I ain’t going to say I was sad because the only thing they remember is that pass. You gotta go back and look at the rest of the games. I wasn’t getting no balls and you had to make some of these plays where some players were open and he is not making the throws, but I don’t want to talk bad about Tim, but hey I am happy we got Peyton.

“Everything on ESPN was all about Tim. That bothered some players too because they would say ‘Tim Tebow Time.’ I felt like it was a team thing. If it wasn’t for the defense most of the time there wouldn’t be no supposed ‘Tim Tebow Time.’ “

Tell us how you really feel, Demaryius. To his credit, Thomas did also mention that he believes Timothy can take Mark Sanchez’s spot. Thomas went on radio again early Friday to clear up his comments, but the damage has already been done. You can read Thomas’ explanation here if you’re interested.

Thomas is a solid receiver and in all honesty, probably could have done a lot more damage if Tebow was more accurate. Nonetheless, it’s a bit underhanded to take shots at the guy who threw him a playoff game-winning touchdown pass just months prior.
